Responsibilities: - Lead, manage, and grow a team of high-functioning engineers that are in charge of our systems and frameworks. - Partner with engineering leaders to drive technical decisions and initiatives to build products in a high-quality and sustainable way. - Nurture a team of passionate and capable engineers. Partner with senior engineers to multiply their impact, and coach & grow early-career engineers. - Partner with cross-functional peers including product and design to come up with and execute against short and long term strategy and plans for the team. - Implement processes to help the team scale and be productive, while allowing for agility to accommodate the dynamic environment that we operate in. Requirements: - 5+ years experience as an engineer (previously in a staff or TL level IC position) and 2+ years as a manager, or a similar combination. - Strong customer focus and experience working closely with Product Managers to define products, manage tradeoffs, and drive adoption with customers. - Experience with navigating large, complex systems. - Experience leading high performing engineering teams in a fast paced environment - Experience in growing and mentoring engineers. - Experience in managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects and work streams.
