Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and deploy backend, frontend, and client-side applications for internal use at Twilio - Collaborate with teammates and guest contributors via peer reviews, planning exercises, and pair programming - Mentor junior engineers as necessary - Write tickets, testing plans, and runbooks for the team, as well as internal documentation for users - Support internal users and ensure system uptime by participating in a 24x7 weekly on-call rotation - Continuously improve Twilio’s internal developer platform interfaces, local development tools, and platform onboarding processes Requirements: - Ability to work in a remote, async software development environment leveraging GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Zoom - Proficiency in any/all of the following programming languages: Typescript, Python, Go, Terraform, Bash - Experience developing and operating software in an AWS cloud environment - Experience with relational database concepts and operations - 5+ years of full-time job experience in a software engineering role - Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code concepts Benefits: - CAD $132,640.00 - CAD $165,800.00 Company context: Twilio is the customer engagement platform for messaging, voice, video, and customer-data orchestration.
